You can play for 10 in game years, and if there is a bandit camp near your settlement all it takes is one settler running past it and getting killed. After that workers and nearby settlers will constantly try to carry that body to the cemetery for burial and they will keep dying to the same bandit camp over and over again. At that point the game is basically over because this bug has not been fixed for 8 years and the developers still have not added a simple option to cancel the burial of a specific corpse.
